In my IT-Support Analyst Career from 2015 - 2017 the daily use and support of Cisco
telecommunication systems and products started to grow a deeper Interest for
networking technology in me.
I started by self studying in a small Home-Lab including a Router and Gigabit-Ethernet
Switches as well as using virtual tools like Packet Tracer and GNS3.
Home-Lab sessions and tutorials on the web guided me through the basics and standards of
LAN ? WAN architectures.
While trying to look into the future of today's Network Engineers activity area
I got pointed away from console and terminal sessions to programming languages,
automation tools and software defined solutions.
In 2017 I received a Invitation to a Interview which was responding to my https://www.gulp.ch Profile
asking me to start a ICT Engineer Career in Contract with Gulp for one of their supported Customer sites in the city of Bern.
A extraordinary chance opened up with access to the latest networking technology which allowed me
to continue my Home-Lab in a up to date networking infrastructure.
Growing demand and increasing workload brought me one step closer to network automation with
Napalm and Ansible including the programming and customizing of Python Modules.
The use of Yaml ain't markup Language and its template engine Jinja as well as
Pythons Panda-Data-Frame showed up quick and efficient ways in parsing, rendering and generating
configuration Files.
Accessing and configuring the customers network via network automation tools allowed me to push
the productivity to a new Level, explore new horizons and improve the service quality.
